Gibson, Maloney push Cuomo to sign Lyme bill

As New York's so called "Lyme bill" is at a stall on Governor Cuomo's desk, two U.S. Representatives of that state have formally urged the Governor to sign the bill allowing protection for doctors who prescribe longer dosages of antibiotics to Lyme disease patients. This bill will protect these doctors from potentially losing their license to practice medicine within the state of New York, and it would also increase the likelihood of more people getting rid of Lyme disease symptoms. Supporters of the bill say that once it is finally signed, it could lead to the passing of similar bills in other states across the country.
Though the bill was written with Lyme disease in mind, treatments of other diseases would also be covered.
