Yesterday, I traveled to the University of New Haven, where Dr. Eva Sapi hosted another successful Lyme Disease Research conference. I had the pleasure of interviewing Dr. Alan McDonald, a brilliant microbiologist and pathologist with deep & broad expertise in many facets of spirochetal diseases. I interviewed him for 100 minutes, on camera. I will post some of these interviews on my youtube channel in 3 weeks. 

For those of you that saw Under My Skin, you may recall a dedicated doctor who spent nights and weekends in his basement -- peering through microscopes, examining spirochetes, making amazing discoveries. Dr. McDonald proved with Dr. Sapi that Borrelia Burgdorferi creates a biofilm. Of course it does! That’s what most bugs do…especially the ‘chetes that cause syphilis! 

We covered a lot of ground in this interview: failures in testing, the global nature of Lyme disease, the many strains that cause disease and have no chance of being detected, the many survival methods of Borrelia…
