A Novel and Simple Method for Laboratory Diagnosis of Relapsing Fever Borreliosis

Willy Burgdorfer thought that Lyme type illnesses were due to borrelia that were very close to relapsing fever.
Lots of cyclical papers quoting the same idea (with no proof) stated again and again that Lyme borrelia were too hard to find in the blood, unlike relpasing fever, which they conceded did appear in the blood during relapses - but anyone who's looked at Lyme patients' blood themselves realises that we do get spirochetes (and L-forms) visible there...
